Natsume Yuujin-Chou
Natsume’s Book of Friends
Air Date: 2008-07-07
Episodes: ?
Summary: “The story revolves around Natsume, a boy who has been able to see ghosts since he was little. Unfortunately, humans shun him, and there is not much fondness between him and ghosts either. One day, he inherits a Yūjin-Chō (“Book of Friends”) from his grandmother. The book is actually full of contracts that his grandmother made to trap ghosts. As one ghost after another shows up, Natsume tries to release or help them — even while many of them seek vengeance on him.” – ANN
“Natsume’s just an ordinary kid, except he can see spirits, just like his grandma Reiko could. Reiko, though, used to bully the spirits, and bound them to her will in the “Book of Friends”. Now that Natsume has inherited this book, a never-ending stream of spirits is coming after him. With the help of a spirit “cat” (who really just wants Natsume to die so he can have the book), Natsume spends his days dissolving the contracts that bind the spirits and trying not to get killed.” – SIH

Yakushiji Ryōko no Kaiki Jikenbo
Ryoko’s Case File
Air Date: 2008-07
Episodes: ?
Summary: “The novels and manga revolve around Ryōko Yakushiji, a 27-year-old multilingual investigator that graduated from Tokyo University’s elite Department of Law, and the bizarre cases she faces while working for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. Yakushiji not only has to deal with supernatural beings in her line of work, but also her rival Yukiko Muromachi, another equally talented and beautiful police investigator.” – Woland
“Very crazy but smart woman. Ryoko is the perfect and unbeatable queen (this is not some first impression or background description will be changed by stories but what happens in the stories). While very quick in actions, she is not slow in considerations, and she is always capable of completely destroy whoever stands on her way (except Yukiko perhaps).

Social status, power, and money are nothing in front of her, or more precisely, she is more eager to destroy those with social status, power, and money, and this is not because she loves justice but, in my opinion, is just because beating up rather tough opponents make things more exciting than bully weaklings.

The lines she likes most are WINNER IS THE KING, LAWS EXIST ONLY FOR MY SAKE or something similar.” – herbert
