Battle 8 Amazing Muscles! The Sensei’s Secret
Summary: Kenichi ends up bruising his male ego and losing a good chunk of his dignity during a skirmish with Ragnarok flunkies. The situation turned dangerous when one, Furukawa, pulled out a knife. Kenichi froze on the spot and didn’t know what to do. Luckily Miu saved him after easily wasting all her opponents. To complete Kenichi’s humilation, not only was he saved by a girl and unable to defeat a single opponent, he drops his pants in front of her too. The terrifying result is Shigure will train him so he can overcome his fear of weapons.
Kenichi thinks what he really needs but lacks is bulky muscles and questions the effectiveness of Akisame’s workouts. Akisame clears up Kenichi’s misconceptions of workouts and muscles while they run an errand together. He’s training Kenichi’s body first because he knows Kenichi won’t survive the direct way to develop muscles: spar with Ryouzanpaku masters. Shortly after, Akisame demonstrates his strength when they encounter the same gangsters who fought Miu in the past, hassling two students Kenichi knows from school. Akisame makes short work out of their ripped boss then uses his unspeakable abilities to punish the rest. Kenichi sees first hand that muscle size doesn’t make a better fighter. The reason Akisame is so strong is because he covered his body with pink muscle, muscles with explosive power and loads of stamina, gained from twenty years of intense training.
Later that evening as Kenichi is walking home; Furukawa intercepts him. Again, Furukawa has a knife. The training with Shigure’s pays off, he realizes the flunky doesn’t know how to use the knife and easily kicks it out of his hand. He then quickly strikes and knocks him out following Akisame’s lesson from earlier, before angrily venting on the unconscious guy. He blames Furukawa for having his life almost halved by Shigure while learning to fight armed opponents. As Kenichi takes out his frustrations on the flunky, Miu silently watches from above. She had followed Kenichi out of concerned for his safety but she’s relieved to see he’s fine.
Review: Oddly enough, Kenichi learns a manly trait from Tsuji. The art of male bravo. When he gets punched, instead of falling apart like the time Furukawa used a knife on him, Kenichi gets back up and repeats Tsuji’s line from earlier, “Nice Punch.” So cool. Then he proceeds to get the tar beat out of him. :P
